Our mezcals

Two expressions from Oaxaca, each with its own character. Choose yours.

Bottle of Mezcal Xhigabaa among agave leaves and a cooked agave heart

Espadín

Double Gold Medal, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2025 Gold Medal, Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2025

100% artisanal Espadín mezcal from Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca.

In Santiago Matatlán, our Espadín ripens for seven to eleven years before harvest. Maestro Armando Jerónimo roasts it over hot stones underground, crushes it with a horse‑drawn tahona, ferments it in wooden vats and distills it in copper.

On the nose, wood smoke and damp earth open onto herbs, mineral notes, citrus and tropical fruit, with a floral touch. On the palate, deep smokiness meets pineapple and honey, and it lingers long, warm and spiced, like a conversation no one wants to end.

A gift that carries a story: every bottle travels with the meaning of the pilgrim’s gourd, the vessel called xhigabaa in Zapotec. Pour it neat, at room temperature and in a small glass, unhurried and in good company: it was made for sharing what is essential.

Bottle of Mezcal Xhigabaa Altar de Muerto among candles and marigold flowers

Pre-order

Altar de Muerto

Gold Medal, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2026

A mezcal for the offering: poured for those who return and shared among those who remember them.

In Oaxaca, every Day of the Dead an altar is raised with candles, cempasúchil marigolds and whatever the departed most enjoyed in life. Mezcal is never missing: one glass is left for them and another is raised in their name.

On the nose it opens like a freshly set altar: ripe guava, tejocote, orange peel and sugarcane, woven into the wood smoke and damp earth of our Espadín. On the palate the fruit melts into smoke and honey, and it lingers long and warm, like an embrace that stays.

It arrives with the Day of the Dead season, when the fruit of the offerings is at its peak, and leaves with it. Each bottle lasts as long as the visit of those who return: a mezcal to welcome them, to toast in their name and to remember that love never says goodbye.
